On Friday, the 5th and 6th graders took a field trip to Mingo Wildlife Refuge. The rain held off and the temperature was perfect! The students visited the Visitor's Center, walked the boardwalk and learned about the different things the Refuge does. The students also got to explore one of the ponds and the organisms in it--they found dragonfly larva, crawfish, and even salamander larva. It was a great day!

We would like to give a huge shout out to SEMO students Ashleigh Green and Cambreigh Matlock. These two students with the support of their cooperating teachers Mrs. Heather Helle (SCE) and Mrs. Whitney Miller (SC HS) and a few SCE and SC HS students participated in the SEMO College of Education's Dream Team Passion Project.
