The Scott City and Chaffee Community band is looking to start its 3rd season next Tuesday May 16th. Rehearsals are at 6pm in the Chaffee High School band room. Alumni and community players of all level are welcome, and current students from 8th up are welcome to join.
We have had everything from college music majors to people who haven't played their instruments in 25+ years in the group, so we would love to have you even if you haven't played in a while. Our concert date is still to be determined, but we will try to have it for the first rehearsal.

Last week Scott City HS and MS faculty and staff showed their appreciation to their Administrators all week with gifts

On Friday, the 5th and 6th graders took a field trip to Mingo Wildlife Refuge. The rain held off and the temperature was perfect! The students visited the Visitor's Center, walked the boardwalk and learned about the different things the Refuge does. The students also got to explore one of the ponds and the organisms in it--they found dragonfly larva, crawfish, and even salamander larva. It was a great day!
